Milk Drunk

I’ve heard other mommies talk many times about their babies being “milk drunk”.  I never really understood what it meant, I thought it was just the way little babies tend to drift gently off to sleep during a feed.  I even questioned if it really existed or maybe I just didn’t pay attention enough to see it when it did happen.  I didn’t know what to look for. I thought maybe my milk just didn’t have the powers to make a baby “drunk,” I never noticed my girls experiencing any kind of drunkenness after feeding.

And then this happened:

As his little head bobbled and I saw the euphoric look on his face, my heart melted and now I know what milk drunk really means.  It really is an amazing sight, seeing such a content and happy little thing.  I’m not a huge fan of drunk people (spill something on me and see what happens!) but if all drunk people were this adorable, happy and fun to be around, I’d be a lot more tolerant (and probably would enjoy parties more).  And one thing’s for sure: I’ll never get tired of seeing this milk drunk little boy!
