Doodle still doesn’t have a ton of words but one of his most used is “choo-choo!” His favorite toy is our train tracks (which of course, he has to hoard all the cars for and can’t share with his sisters). He screams “choo-choo!” every time we cross the railroad tracks. And He has to wear his Thomas socks every time he goes to sleep.
He probably doesn’t remember his ride on the train into New York this fall (which was before train mania set in) but in a few weeks, he is going to get the opportunity to ride again and it will be an experience I’m sure he won’t forget for a while!
Last spring Thomas the Tank Engine came to Miami and we talked about taking the kids. But Doodle was still really small and while the girls have always loved their train and tracks, they never really got into Thomas. But I definitely see Thomas as a big part of our future with Doodle so we were delighted when offered the opportunity to spend a Day Out with Thomas this year.
The 20th nationwide Day out with Thomas tour which will visit 42 cities across the US and Canada (see the full list of locations) kicks off the first weekend of March here in South Florida as Thomas and Friends celebrates 70 years of friendship.
The event which is highlighted by a 45-minute train ride with Thomas also includes an imagination station with arts, crafts and toys, the opportunity to meet Sir Topham Hatt, and storytelling.
I can not wait to share this amazing opportunity with my kids and now one of my local readers can win four tickets for their own family adventure at a Day Out with Thomas!
