I will be the first to admit how lucky I’ve been with Doodle, nearly 2 1\/2 years in and he’s\u00a0yet to get me with one of those glorious baby showers I’ve heard so much about (I’ve had my share of leaky diapers and pee puddles before\/after showering but have never sustained a direct hit.)<\/p>\n

Pipsqueak, however, has not been so kind. \u00a0He’s already gotten me twice. \u00a0And for those of you who haven’t experienced a baby boy shower in all it’s glory, it’s actually quite alarming. \u00a0Both times I was changing his diaper and had re-opened the new diaper to adjust around this belly button and there it went! \u00a0A nice little fountain and I’ll admit my reaction time is a bit lacking as I come under attack (especially at 2 o’clock in the morning…)<\/p>\n

And that’s not the only diaper time fun we’ve been having, this boy also likes to poo during changes, squirting it out onto the clean diaper just as I close him up. \u00a0In fact, his very first diaper change, which was a nice big blob of meconium, resulted in 4 more big squirts causing me to frantically wipe, yelp, and jump as hubby ran for the trashcan, Honeybun was disgusted, Doodle laughed hysterically and I ran out of room for dirty wipes on his tiny diaper under his itty bitty tush.<\/p>\n

Plus on top of Pipsqueak’s antics, Doodle has been having gloriously large and messy poos (which I’ve thankfully not had to do as he is generous enough to select another big person–usually Grandpa–when available). \u00a0Needless to say, my life has temporarily gone down the pooper, but hey, that’s just life with two in diapers!<\/p>\n

(Side note: have any other mommies of two in diapers noticed how your toddler’s bum grows exponentially once baby and his\/her teeny tiny tush arrive?)<\/p>\n
