I did something crazy today: I decided to run errands alone. Alone!<\/p>\n

After days of running around between our “old” and new houses, slowly moving things and feeling completely exhausted, I welcomed the help from my parents today. And while I usually take advantage of the adult company and like to run around with one of my parents while the other nap-sits, I needed the quiet today.<\/p>\n

I have been feeling extremely overwhelmed lately. By the schedule. By the obligations. By the business. By the noise. And i just needed the cam so I left Grandma and Grandpa home with the kids and I did what I needed to do and when I found myself next door to a Dunkin Donuts, I thought “why not?” And treated myself to my favorite (decaf) iced coffee with milk, sugar and blueberry.<\/p>\n

And as I quietly sipped my coffee, unbothered and unhurried, I realized how important these moments are. \u00a0That while I love my children immensely and I really don’t mind being around them nearly every second of every day, it is nice to just have these quiet moments to myself. \u00a0I need these little mom-cations!<\/p>\n
