in the Family"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I think when most people have their first child, they spend the first days comparing their new sweet little family member to themselves and grandparents.\u00a0 We tend to look for similarities and discuss which little faces look like which aunt, uncle or cousin.\u00a0 With our second child we still compared little Sugarplum to the family that came before, she had Grandma\u2019s little mouth and Daddy\u2019s fierce temper.\u00a0 But we have found ourselves with little man #3 constantly comparing him to his sisters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0The resemblance between Doodle and Honeybun\u00a0is absolutely undeniable:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.beyondmommying.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/H-baby.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-831 aligncenter\" alt=\"H baby\" https:\/\/www.beyondmommying.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/H-baby.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beyondmommying.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/DSC08198.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-832 aligncenter\" alt=\"SONY DSC\" constantly comparing personalities, expressions, temperament and behaviors.\u00a0 Doodle thus far has been a very calm and happy baby, very similar to Honeybun\u00a0.\u00a0 He makes the same little sleepy smirks and has even busted out what we adoringly called her \u201cstretchy face\u201d a few times.\u00a0 He only cries when he\u2019s desperate to nurse and the rest of his days are spent in happy slumber or calmly looking around, getting to know his new environment and family.<\/p>\n<p>Where he is most like Sugarplum, though, is in his activity level.\u00a0 Sugarplum was extremely active from early in pregnancy and she has not stopped moving since.\u00a0 Doodle was an active baby in the belly as well and is now extremely strong and dying to more around.\u00a0 He is constantly kicking and flailing when he\u2019s awake and tries to grab at things that are near his face.\u00a0 When we put him on the floor he rolls from side to side and is constantly trying to lift his head while we hold him.\u00a0 He is already strong enough to hold his head upright for a few seconds on his own.<\/p>\n<p>I know as he grows his own little personality will come through but for now we can\u2019t help but notice all the ways he is like his sisters whom love and adore him more than I ever thought they would.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I think when most people have
