Llama Llama Time to Share<\/a><\/h3>\n<address>by Ann Dowdney\u00a0<\/address>\n<p>The Llama Llama series has great plot lines and catchy little rhymes but Time to Share is by far my favorite. \u00a0The story of playing nicely with new friends and learning to share and get along is an important one in the preschool years (plus I love the word play of the new girl, Nellie Gnu!)<br \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"https:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=beyonmommy02-20&amp;l=li3&amp;o=1&amp;a=0670012335\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2xkUEnC\">2. Pigeon Poo<\/a><\/h3>\n<address>by Elizabeth Baguley and\u00a0Mark Chambers\u00a0<\/address>\n<p>\u00a0This book was a gift from our dear friends in London and has been a family favorite for years. \u00a0The story which details a town problem solving a serious pigeon poo situation is funny and shows that sometimes the littlest one has the best idea.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beyondmommying.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Goodnight-Gorilla.jpg\"><br \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2fUz3zK\">3. Good Night Gorilla<\/a><\/h3>\n<address>by Peggy Rathmann\u00a0<\/address>\n<p>It is important to share books of lots of different types and genres with young children, including those without text. \u00a0Good Night Gorilla allows little ones to create their own story, get lost in the pictures and make their own assumptions.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"https:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=beyonmommy02-20&amp;l=li3&amp;o=1&amp;a=0399230033\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2xkSG6A\"><span style=\"color: #333333; line-height: 21.6px;\">4. I Love You, Stinky Face<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n<address>by Lisa McCourt, illustrated by Cyd Moore\u00a0<\/address>\n<p>I&#8217;ll admit, this wasn&#8217;t a favorite of mine when we first got it. \u00a0But as we read it over and over and over again, it grew on me. \u00a0My girls love the silliness of the story and I&#8217;s come to appreciate the nuances throughout the text which go through the bedtime routine.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2xXEenf\"><span style=\"color: #333333; line-height: 21.6px;\">5. Beware of Tigers<\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>by Dave Horowitz\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I bought this book super cheap as a way to tease my sister who is a Missouri Tigers fan but it quickly became a favorite. \u00a0The rhyming, silly text engages little ones and is easy enough for them to remember and repeat. \u00a0Plus the girls can&#8217;t get enough of Grandpa reading it in the New York accent as suggested by the author.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2fVIAXf\">6. Duck in the Truck<\/a><\/h3>\n<address>by Jez Alborough\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"https:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=beyonmommy02-20&amp;l=li3&amp;o=1&amp;a=0007302622\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/><\/address>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know how much my girls have enjoyed this book, but my boys love it and it&#8217;s always been a favorite of mine. \u00a0The rhyming text does an awesome job of\u00a0modeling and teaching the importance of teamwork.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2xlGzq8\">7. 10 Little Rubber Ducks<\/a><\/h3>\n<address>by Eric Carle\u00a0<\/address>\n<p>Another Eric Carle classic, 10 Little Rubber Ducks not only teaches counting by also directional words and I love the end where the last rubber ducky finds a home (even if our cat can&#8217;t stand the squeaker in the back!)<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2fTgyvw\">8. The Best Nest<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><em>by P.D. Eastman\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"https:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=beyonmommy02-20&amp;l=li3&amp;o=1&amp;a=0394800516\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/><\/em><\/p>\n<p>This was a childhood favorite of mine and now my girls love reading it whenever we visit my parents. \u00a0The story of a mommy and daddy bird looking for the perfect home teaches important lessons about appreciating what you have.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2y2dOlM\">9. Just for\u00a0You<\/a><\/h3>\n<address>by Mercer Mayer<\/address>\n<p>I love all the little critter books (we have many of the holiday ones) but this is the first one I ever had and I love the story of a little guy just trying to do his best.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2fVkegB\">10.
