\"wpid-IMAG1928.jpg\"<\/a>Since we started homeschooling<\/a> in August, we’ve been working in our dining room<\/a> which was fine, it suited us but then Thanksgiving<\/a>\u00a0came and we had to put school away to have dinner! \u00a0That weekend we went shopping<\/a>\u00a0for a few things we’d been looking for (like a bike for Honeybun and a bed for hubby and I) and found these fantastic bookshelves and got an amazing deal on them (they were originally $750 each, we paid $200 for both!)<\/p>\n

With our new shelves, we decided to move homeschool into the kids’ playroom and reclaim our dining room (which is also farther from Doodle’s room which is a plus during his morning nap time!)<\/p>\n

With the open shelves, I immediately had the idea to create a work space for each girl. \u00a0I got a long table at Ikea that spans both shelves, leaving an overhang where each of the girls can work independently. \u00a0The shelves are great for holding all their books and completed work. \u00a0And with the table in the way, my supplies are unreachable by the kids.<\/p>\n

So far, we’re loving the new set up. \u00a0The girls like having their own space. \u00a0I love having my supplies untouchable. \u00a0Things are staying much neater since everything has a good place to go. \u00a0And we have a usable dining room again!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
