You know that whole pregnant nesting thing?\u00a0 Yeah, I don\u2019t get it.\u00a0 Not like \u201cI don\u2019t GET it,\u201d scratching my head, but like \u201cthat doesn\u2019t happen to me.\u201d\u00a0 Third baby and I\u2019ve yet to get the instinct to \u201cnest\u201d.\u00a0 Most of what I do to prepare for baby is out of obligation and an inner nagging, never have I experienced an uncontrollable urge to clean (and I mean NEVER, not even when I\u2019m not pregnant.).\u00a0 \u00a0I\u2019m more of the \u201cyeah, I could do such-and-such, but I\u2019m tired and I have a ton of stuff to clear off my DVR, so I\u2019ll do that instead\u201d type.\u00a0 I totally respect those pregnant mommies, especially the working ones or the ones doing it with a toddler, who actually WANT to clean but that\u2019s totally not me.<\/p>\n

Part of me feels\u00a0extremely\u00a0guilty for not having a nice nursery for this baby. \u00a0I spent a \u00a0lot of time and energy preparing Honeybun’s\u00a0nursery and I want this one to be just as nice. \u00a0Sugarplum got what we had in our rental house in Dublin, but at least it was clean, bright and a nice place to be. \u00a0I hate everything about the room that will be for this baby. \u00a0I hate the wall color (which I tried to remedy by\u00a0painting\u00a0an accent wall which did not turn out as nice as I’d hoped), I hate the curtains and most of all, I HATE the floor (gray and white\u00a0builder’s\u00a0special tile….who thought it was a good idea to put tile in a bedroom? \u00a0Ah, Florida…). \u00a0All of this leads me to want to change everything about the room but I don’t have the time, help or energy so I’m stuck doing what little bits I can.<\/p>\n

So here I am, less than one month from my full-term date and here\u2019s my \u201cstill gotta do it\u201d list to prepare for baby:<\/p>\n
