So the guest room is doneish. \u00a0I at least got it cleaned up and usable though there is still some organizing and decorating work to be done. I need to clean up my craft and sewing supplies and finish hanging my ballerina pictures but at least Honeybun now has a clean place to rest (and no more stuff to mess with instead of sleeping!) and the room is guest-ready, should the need arise.<\/p>\n

So, my 8 week challenge is done. \u00a0What now? \u00a0I plan to keep rotating through the house so back to the master bedroom I go. \u00a0It doesn’t need a full overhaul like it did at the beginning of the challenge but there is laundry to be put away and it never hurts to do a full clean.<\/p>\n

So what did I ultimately gain from my 8 week challenge? \u00a0A lot. \u00a0For one, my home is more tidy and organized. It gave me the opportunity to go through things and purge unneeded items (though I didn’t purge as much as i thought I would).<\/p>\n

But most importantly it showed me what a “home” is really all about. \u00a0It’s not about how much stuff you have, or how expensive your stuff is or how clean your house is. \u00a0A home is only as valuable as the people in it. \u00a0A house filled with people you love, things you love and memories you love are what makes a home happy, nothing else.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
