When I wrote the original Beach Babies<\/a> post, we’d not yet taken Doodle to play in the sand and splash in the water.<\/p>\n

Well, Spring Break in Naples finally got hubby to the beach with us and Doodle down in the sand and water. \u00a0He was tentative at first but okay in the water until a larger wave splashed up to his tummy and he was done! \u00a0He wanted nothing to do with the beach after that. \u00a0He didn’t want to touch the sand and even sitting on a towel was not happy!<\/p>\n

The girls are starting to enjoy the amazing possibilities of the sand, though. \u00a0When they were younger they would try to build sand mounds if we suggested and helped, but in Naples they initiated the building of a coconut sand castle all by themselves (and even worked together nicely to build it!)\"Going<\/a> \u00a0They are also getting braver in the water, going deeper into the waves and not freaking out if they get splashed. \u00a0Hopefully this summer we’ll get a little more beach going in than we have in the past!<\/p>\n
