\"SONY<\/a>I have a confession: I really like Frozen<\/i>.\u00a0 I took the girls to see it for their\u00a0First Film<\/a>, and we even went back to see the sing-along.\u00a0 Then I bought them the soundtrack and we listen to it almost every time we\u2019re in the car.\u00a0 Actually, I listen to it even when the kids aren\u2019t in the car.\u00a0 Ok, so I really bought it for myself!<\/p>\n

I grew up watching Disney movies, my aunt gave us the current one each year for Christmas and I loved all of them (though Beauty and the Beast was my most favorite).\u00a0 But there is something about Frozen<\/i> that really touches me that other Disney movies haven\u2019t.\u00a0 Maybe it\u2019s because I\u2019m wiser, maybe it\u2019s because I\u2019m a mommy or maybe it\u2019s just a really amazingly fantastic movie!\u00a0 I\u2019m not sure what it is that has sucked me into the clan of super fans, but what I do know is I won\u2019t mind if it remains a favorite of my girls too because it is a really amazing story with some great lessons to be learned.<\/p>\n

Here are 6 life lessons I hope my girls learn from Frozen<\/i>:<\/p>\n

  1. Sisters are amazing and there is no love like that between sisters.\u00a0 As a sister myself and a mom to two daughters, I know how great it is to have a sister and how cool it is to have that forever best friend in your life who will always be there for you and love you unconditionally.<\/li>\n
  2. Kindness is reciprocal.\u00a0 If you receive kindness from someone, they deserve kindness in return and vice versa, if you want kindness from someone you need to show it to them as well.<\/li>\n
  3. You need to have confidence in being who you are.\u00a0 Don\u2019t worry about what others think and do what you believe in and be who you want to be.<\/li>\n
  4. Don\u2019t hide how you are feeling or be afraid of your emotions.\u00a0 It is so important to be able to appropriately share your emotions and \u201cconceal don\u2019t feel\u201d is not a healthy way to live.<\/li>\n
  5. When you lose control of yourself you could end up hurting someone you love.\u00a0 While learning to show ones emotions is important, it doesn\u2019t mean you can lose all control of yourself because it could have negative consequences for yourself and those around you.<\/li>\n
  6. Some people are worth melting for. \u00a0While this is one of my favorite Olaf quotes from the movie, it’s also a super great life lesson: people who are really important in your life are worth making sacrifices for.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    (Another confession\u2026for some unexplainable reason I tear up every time Elsa sings \u201cLet It go, let it go!\u00a0 Can\u2019t hold it back anymore!\u201d But not the Demi Lovato version, that one kind of sucks and I usually skip over it!)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
