{"id":2743,"date":"2014-01-07T11:07:34","date_gmt":"2014-01-07T16:07:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.beyondmommying.com\/blog\/?p=2743"},"modified":"2014-02-21T15:24:03","modified_gmt":"2014-02-21T20:24:03","slug":"fast-forward-in-slow-motion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beyondmommying.com\/blog\/2014\/01\/07\/fast-forward-in-slow-motion\/","title":{"rendered":"Fast Forward in Slow Motion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sometimes I feel like my life is on fast forward.\u00a0 But not fast forward like on an old VCR where it goes normal speed or fast.\u00a0 Fast forward like on a new DVR where there are different speeds of going ahead.\u00a0 I feel like with every child I have in my care, the speed bumps up one notch.\u00a0 So when I just have Doodle, it\u2019s just a little bit faster.\u00a0 Throw Sugarplum into the mix and it goes two clicks faster and when I have all three, I\u2019m at full speed fast forward.<\/p>\n<p>I am constantly forgetting to do things.\u00a0 I am always thinking \u201cOh, I need to respond to that e-mail\u201d or \u201cI HAVE to fill out and mail that form\u201d and days go by and tasks don\u2019t get completed.\u00a0 I\u2019m constantly going to bed thinking of everything I forgot to do that day and making a list of things to get done the next, just to forget or run out of time again which just perpetuates the cycle and lengthens the list!<\/p>\n<p>I have a list of posts I want to write, my soul is oozing with mommy wisdom, life experience and opinions I\u2019m dying to share but the two hours at nap time and one hour after bedtime (when I\u2019m home and not working) just isn\u2019t enough time to write, format, gather pictures and post!<\/p>\n<p>All of this and yet, somehow, when I\u2019m home by myself with the kids, time seems to slow down.\u00a0 It\u2019s as if someone is using that function where when you pause a show and hit fast forward, it advances so s-l-o-w-l-y.
