{"id":2465,"date":"2013-12-22T09:17:42","date_gmt":"2013-12-22T14:17:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.beyondmommying.com\/blog\/?p=2465"},"modified":"2013-12-22T09:18:19","modified_gmt":"2013-12-22T14:18:19","slug":"baby-re-gifting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beyondmommying.com\/blog\/2013\/12\/22\/baby-re-gifting\/","title":{"rendered":"Baby Re-Gifting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It \u00a0has certainly been a year of firsts, even for this 3<sup>rd<\/sup> time mommy and why would Christmas be any different?\u00a0 I made a decision about gift giving and I\u2019m still a little wishy washy about it.\u00a0 For the first time, I am re-gifting toys to Doodle that were previously his sisters\u2019.\u00a0 Sugarplum has always played with the toys Honeybun used before and I have gifted the girls toys that were previously used by friends. But this will be the first time I\u2019m taking toys my children had previously and wrapping them up for the littlest.<\/p>\n<p>I got Doodle one new set of rolling cars and airplanes, but the rest will be re-gifts.\u00a0 I let each of the girls pick a toy out of the \u201cretirement\u201d box which is all the baby toys that have been packed away since we moved back from Dublin and hubby and I each picked one as well.\u00a0 \u00a0What\u2019s most interesting though is that each of the girls picked a toy for Doodle that was their most favorite when they were little, even though they sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 174px) 100vw, 174px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>(Honeybun and Sugarplum with the gifts they&#8217;ve chosen for Doodle when they originally received them)<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve always handed down Honeybun\u2019s toys as Sugarplum was ready for them and gotten Sugarplum new (or new to our family) things as gifts.\u00a0 But Doodle doesn\u2019t really need anything aside from maybe some bibs that don\u2019t say \u201cDaddy\u2019s Girl\u201d and I can\u2019t justify buying him more things that will just use money we don\u2019t really have to spend on things that will just take up space that we don\u2019t have.<\/p>\n<p>What do you think, have you or would you re-gift (like actually wrap up and give as a gift) a siblings
