<\/a>\u00a0The iPotty: I\u2019m a mean mommy that doesn\u2019t reward doing the right thing, that includes when potty training (not even a single M&M!) nor do I allow my children to play with my iPad (they have their own LeapPad which they use sparingly) nor have I ever owned a \u201cpotty chair\u201d (I have much more important things to do than dump and sanitize, I\u2019d rather flush it away!)\u00a0 Just give the kid a book if you want them to stay put on the potty!<\/p>\nAny type of car: I hate the motorized toddler cars (maybe it\u2019s because they don\u2019t have the option of properly installing a car seat?) and now there is an inflatable sports car\/iPad holder.<\/p>\n Goldieblox:\u00a0 Ah, where to start on this one, perhaps it\u2019s better left for a post of it\u2019s own and just say we have plenty of Legos.<\/p>\n \u201cLearning\u201d toys:\u00a0 You know, the ones that talk and sing and light up and make tons of noise\u2026yeah.\u00a0 They\u2019re not all bad but we got our share 2 years ago and I don\u2019t need anything else in my house making noise and driving me crazy (3 kids do that well enough without noisy toys!)<\/p>\n<\/a>\u00a0The Aptivity Seat:\u00a0 Ok, I\u2019ll admit to giving Doodle my iPad and letting him poke around at certain apps when I need a minute.\u00a0 And I\u2019ve visitied Fisher Price\u2019s website and let the girls do the games on occasion but this is just too much!<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a>\u00a0Blaze the Interactive Riding Horse:\u00a0 Ok, so this WAS a cool toy.\u00a0 I totally had one of these spring, bouncing horses when I was little and I LOVED it!\u00a0 So why screw with it?\u00a0 Why does it need to \u201crespond to your child’s motion with lifelike sounds\u201d?\u00a0 What happened to making your own galloping noises?\u00a0 This all leaves me to wonder how it \u201calso encourages imaginative play.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/a>Modern Fashion Dolls:\u00a0 I\u2019m talking Monster High, Bratz, La Dee Da and the like. I never thought Barbie would seem appropriate, but I think we\u2019ll stick with her!<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a>Baby Walker:\u00a0 While Doodle is a prime candidate for LOVING a baby walker since all he wants to do is stand up and walk around but isn\u2019t loving the stiaonary Exersaucer, he will not be getting a walker.\u00a0 Despite popular believe, they are not only dangerous due to the risk of falls and the ability to get near unsafe things, they also don\u2019t actually help a baby learn to walk.\u00a0 Walkers put baby\u2019s hips in an unnatural position and develop the muscles wrong for independent walking.\u00a0 I\u2019ll stick to breaking my back walking around holding his hands. (We do have a ride-on\/push toy that I’m trying to get him to use but he’s just too wobbly in the hips!)<\/p>\n
