As we&#8217;ve continued to settle into our new life in New Jersey, fully closing out the Florida chapter of our lives, books and reading have remained a big part of our day-to-day lives. We don&#8217;t yet have our local library card so have been relying on what we can find when we venture into local bookshops but the girls continue to love reading as my boys get more into looking at books every day. We&#8217;ve also continued our regular family read alouds and listening to audio books in the car (two of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.beyondmommying.com\/blog\/2017\/10\/03\/ways-to-enjoy-reading-great-literature-as-a-family\/\">ways we integrate good literature into our daily lives<\/a>).<\/p>\n<h2>This is the second in a series sharing what we\u2019re all enjoying reading each month.<\/h2>\n<p><em>Note: This post contains affiliate links and images meaning if you click any product link and make a purchase, Beyond Mommying may receive a small commission which is used for the upkeep of the website; however, it will not affect your purchasing experience in any way. With Sugarplum&#8217;s late practices 4 nights a week, we don&#8217;t have a lot of time to read before bed. And though I aspire to read each day before our daily resting time, I don&#8217;t always have the patience. So, we&#8217;ll probably be reading this book for quite a while longer (good thing we&#8217;re all enjoying it!)<\/p>\n<p>The second in the \u201cPumpkin Falls Mystery\u201d series,\u00a0<em>Yours Truly<\/em>\u00a0follows the adventures of a young girl and her group of friends as they solve small town and family mysteries. We listened to\u00a0<em><strong>(AL)<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<em><u>Absolutely<\/u><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2uKQlWN\">\u00a0Truly<\/a><\/em>, the first book in the series, as an audio book before left Florida and thought the second book would be perfect for our next family read aloud. It was a book I&#8217;d already saved in our library for future listening.\u00a0We all thoroughly enjoyed the story of four orphaned children selected to go on a secret mission to help stop an evil plot to brainwash everyone. The kids must go undercover and pretend to be students at a peculiar school where they face many perils and challenges.<\/p>\n<p>The audible narrator, Del Roy, is fantastic for the book and, I think, really made the story.
