This morning I took the girls to a nearby park to meet some old and new friends.\u00a0 We walked there and Doodle fell asleep before we were even out of the driveway.\u00a0 What was most amazing though is that he slept for an hour and a half at the park.\u00a0 Then he slept through a 15 minutes shopping spree at Target and woke up as we were waiting to check out, after a total of almost 2 hours sleeping and nearly 4 hours since his last feed.\u00a0 I had promised the girls we could get lunch out so I decided to wait to feed Doodle until we got to the restaurant.\u00a0 Amazingly he fell back asleep as soon as we went back outside and I had to wake him once we got the restaurant to feed before we walked home.\u00a0 And again, he fell asleep on the way home!\u00a0 He slept from 9:15 until 12:45 with only one 15-minute feed!<\/p>\n

He has always loved to nap outdoors.\u00a0 Usually when he is really fussy all we have to do is take him outside (and sometimes rock him a little) and he will fall asleep easily and stay asleep for hours.\u00a0 There is something about the fresh air and even as hot and humid as it is down here (90 degrees and a heat index of 98 when we were wandering around this morning), he doesn\u2019t get overheated and uncomfortable when sleeping.<\/p>\n

I love that he is so happy and comfortable being outside and I hope the trend continues.\u00a0 Hubby would love an outdoor boy to take mountain biking, \u00a0hiking, and skiing someday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
