My girls are growing up before my eyes and while they’re still small in my eyes (only 6 and 8), they’re starting to become more and more interested in “big girl” things like make up, high heels, nail polish and hair dos. And while we still limit a lot of those activities, the little things that go with them are starting to creep in and take over their bathroom!<\/p>\n

Since we moved house last year, I’ve been working on decorating and, more importantly, organizing their little girl’s bathroom. At our old house, they only had toothbrushes and toothpaste but now we have hair brushes, combs, clips, sprays, nail polish and lip gloss! A thousand tiny things to drive me crazy.<\/p>\n

I’ve learned quickly the key to keeping the clutter under control is to have things within easy reach so that they can also be easily put away when done.<\/p>\n

Here’s a few creative ways for organizing a little girl’s bathroom:\"organizing<\/a><\/h2>\n

Over the door shoe organizer \"Tips<\/a><\/h3>\n

This has been my saving grace in my little girl’s bathroom! I use it to organize all their little hair things and can keep the things they need and use down low where they can reach it while keeping things I don’t want them to have (like nail polish!) up in the higher pockets. The pockets are\u00a0the perfect size for brushes and combs but also deep enough that all the clips, pins and ponies don’t spill out everywhere.<\/p>\n

Desk organizer\"Tips<\/a><\/h3>\n

I can never seem to find the perfect organizer specifically\u00a0for the things I’m trying to manage hence why I use a lid rack for bottles, a dish drainer for homeschooling supplies and a desk organizer for my little girl’s bathroom. Desktop organizers give you way more options than bathroom organizers and this little one works perfectly for all my girls’ oral care needs including\u00a0toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss, keeping everything accessible but organized.<\/p>\n

Low hooks\"Tips<\/a><\/h3>\n

Our house was new construction and didn’t come with any bathroom hardware (towel bars, hooks, toilet paper holders…) so we decided to install some lower hooks for the girls instead of a standard bar. It allows them to more easily reach their towels from the shower and hang them up when they’re done which keeps me from having to deal with wet towels all over the floor.<\/p>\n

Freestanding toilet paper holder\"Tips<\/a><\/h3>\n

Instead of installing wall toilet paper holders, we opted for freestanding holders in the little girl’s bathroom for a few reasons. First, it is much easier to install but also because their little arms can’t always reach wall mounted toilet paper holders and I always want toilet paper within reach for them! The freestanding holder also allows for keeping extra toilet paper rolls at hand and we\u00a0don’t run into space issues when trying to use longer-lasting rolls like the new\u00a0SCOTT\u00ae 1100 Bath Tissue<\/a> which\u00a0is now America’s longest lasting roll with\u00a0a full 100 more sheets than their previous roll which is like get 3 extra rolls per pack and for me, means less schlepping 4 kids to the store for toilet paper!<\/p>\n
