I’ve had a slew of “fails” over just the past few days including not getting around to publishing a new post yesterday but we’re on the road and missing a blog post is the least of my fails!
We started out our trip with me realizing I forgot Pipsqueak’s blanket and zucchini bites I’d made him while we were eating breakfast at Chick-fil-A before getting on the highway. Luckily, though, we were only a few minutes from home and Doodle is an astonishingly slow eater so hubby had time to run back home. Unfortunately it wasn’t until much farther up the road that I realized I’d also forgotten to pack bathing suits for the girls. Oh well, I guess. At least they won’t be wandering around in their underpants like JustaBXgirl’s mommy threatened in her big mommy fail this week!
I’m on my own for 2 days with all the kids while hubby goes to a wedding and while a lot of people think I’m crazy for choosing to be on my own with 4 kids out of town, I would have been alone no matter what so might as well make the most of it! Unfortunately our good day at the zoo was spoiled by me failing to notice my kids quarreling until Doodle’s face was being smashed into the sharp corner of a display at H&M (he’s okay, just a bit of a busted lip but OH, the drama!)\
Then of course there was the big dinner time drama when I actually had the idea to stop for dinner with two exhausted boys. I nearly walked out before even ordering because the screaming was so out of control. But we recovered and daddy will be back tomorrow afternoon (his Father’s Day gift is being alone, I guess!)
