Halloween House

Fall is in the air.  Well, not really.  It’s still in the 90s and unbearably humid here, BUT Fall is definitely in the stores and I am getting that Halloween feeling!

A few days ago Sugarplum and I made candy apples (thanks to a care package from my mother in law) and despite me burning my finger on the 300 degree liquid candy, we had so much fun doing it together!  Sugarplum helped dry the apples after I washed them and she waited so patiently while the candy coat cooked then helped me VERY carefully dip the apples.  We had enough candy coat leftover I decided to do some dried fruit I had too and it was super delicious (the tooth-picked grapes we tried, however, were too slippery!)

I try to buy everything on sale or clearance so usually buy holiday things after the holidays, but I am finding so many great deals I can’t help myself!  Hubby found a bunch of stuff ½ off while I was getting Halloween costume supplies at the fabric store but my biggest bargains have been at Wal-Mart.  All of this:

Put me back a whopping $8!

I’m trying not to go too crazy since I know there will be great bargains after Halloween but it’s so hard to wait, especially when there are such good deals to be found!
